Bleach London White Toner

As a blonde, one of life's long struggles is balancing the brassiness that sometimes comes with bleaching your hair. I usually get highlights in my hair, but this can sometimes veer towards looking a little golden when it goes a while without being coloured. I have used toners on my hair before to help brighten my colour, but I thought the Bleach London White Toner, £8, Boots would make my hair more icy blonde.

The kit contains everything you need including the colourant, gloves for protection and a hair mask to help hydrate your hair after colouring.

The toner goes into shampooed towel dried hair, so once you have done this, you can mix up the solution. The instructions are really straight forward, and you mix the colourant into the developing solution and shake until mixed. You then section out the hair and add the solution to the root of the hair, and then run through the ends. I find the long nozzle on the applicator really helpful for dividing even sections of hair to apply the toner.

I have used this kit before when I had really long hair and found I needed two kits to do all over my hair, especially as my hair is really thick and I have a lot of it. Now I have bob length hair, I found one kit was perfect, and I had plenty left over to really run through the lengths of my hair to make sure the solution went all over.

Once you're happy with the application, this needs to be left on for about 15-20 mins.
Once you've washed it out you leave the mini Reincarnation Mask included in the kit for about 10 mins.

The mask made my hair feel amazing afterwards. My hair was silky smooth and it made my hair a lot more manageable. You can buy the Reincarnation Mask, £6, Cultbeauty.co.uk separately and if you colour your hair regularly I would highly recommend this as it really helps the condition of your hair and also smells really lovely.

The toner itself brightened up the colour of my hair, and as a semi permanent colour, this is a really good way to test colours before fully committing to something more permanent like bleach.

Here are the before and after shots, excuse my face in the first one, I'd just woken up.

Before

After
The brassiness definitely died down, and people commented on how my hair looked much lighter. I really want to try some cool stuff on my hair and Bleach London provide semi-permanent hair colours and other toners that add different hues to your hair such as grey or lavender as well as shampoos and conditioners that can slowly add a light wash of colour over time, so it is a great brand to try if you're looking to experiment with colour.

Bleach London was started by Alex Brownsell and Sam Teasdale, and first started out as a single chair in Wah Nails Dalston in 2010. As you may know, I am a huge fan of Wah Nails and remember hearing the murmuring of Bleach London in the Wah Nails nail art books, and how they focussed on extreme colour rather than cutting hair.

In 2013 they launched their home hair dye range, just as pastel hair colour was the peak hair trend, and they become an overnight success. In 2017 they relaunched the collection which is why the packaging may look a different to how you remember, and now they have also brought on board Sam's twin sister, makeup artist Lou Teasdale to create a new makeup range which I look forward to trying!

Hair Chalk

If you follow my Instagram page, you would have seen I posted this picture of my beet root ended barnet. In this post I will show you how hair chalk is a great way to change up your look whether it is just by colouring the ends of your hair,  or your entire head.

I was inspired to try hair chalk after I saw ASOS post a video of Phoebe Lettice from Made in Chelsea, using hair chalk as a quick fix. Love her or hate her, she has been a big hair influence on me, and my Hair Pinterest board has a lot of pictures of Phoebe, and her occasionally pink hair.

Here is the video of Phoebe Lettice using hair chalk that I mentioned earlier. She uses a Kevin Murphy hair chalk, and also one from Fudge which is a brand I really want to try out. The round 'bugs' she uses look easier to apply than the Topshop stick one I used, as it has a flatter surface and a little case to minimize pink hands afterwards.

I have wanted pink hair for so so so so so so so long now, but I wanted a quick fix into pink hair that could be washed out for work or in case I didn't like it. Hair chalk is a fantastic way to colour your hair without the commitment. This washed out of my hair fine and was a great change for one night.

The hair chalk I got was this one which was £4 from Topshop. I had a few issues with it, but overall it was a really cheap way to colour my hair. I literally coloured strands of my hair in. In the video of Phoebe using one, she ran it down from root to tip to create the pink. I found I had to really go up and down my hair though to get the colour out. It could be due to my thick hair though. Using this technique made my hair quite volumized so I didn't need to use any product to make my hair big like she does in the video.

If I'm being honest, my hair felt pretty horrible with the hair chalk in. A bit strawy and dry, but it stayed put all evening, and even when I slept with it in over night, it didn't come off on my pillow (thank god because we were staying in a hotel!) and was actually not as messy as I thought it would be. When chalking my hair, bits did break of the stick but other than that it was an easy process. Due to the thickness of my hair I spent about 30/45 mins chalking my hair.

Here are some of my dos and don'ts when using hair chalk

DO wear gloves when applying the chalk, as I had very pink hands for the rest of the evening which took a good few washes to remove.

DO section your hair into bits to make sure you don't miss anywhere.

DON'T wear your hair up. If your going to use this chalk make sure your wearing your hair down, as I also had a very pink neck!

DON'T wear an expensive top. I got a fair bit of pink on my clothes around the collar at the back so don't wear anything you absolutely love and paid a fortune for. The chalk washed out of my clothes fine but JUST in case.

DO this in a bathroom where you can wipe down surfaces and avoid carpet as much as possible.

Apparently you can apply the hair chalk to damp hair and then lock the colour in with hair straighteners when dry, which may be the solution to a lot of these problems, but I think that would make the colour last longer which I unfortunately didn't have the time to do. I will give that a try the next time I want to chalk my hair and let you know how it goes!

Here is a picture of my finished pink hair and my boyfriend enjoying a glass of wine before heading to the o2 to see Katy Perry.

Hope you enjoyed!

Ogario Hair Care

I have been really excited to write about this, as I feel I have taken a small part in the journey of this brand, and therefore it has a little place in my heart.

Ogario is made by Rachael and Norris Ogario, and is still a relatively small brand. Norris has a clear passion for hair, and is a hairdresser in his own salon in the Islington area. He and Rachael have decided to embark on the exciting journey of creating their own hair products, which they have tried and tested on the customers in the salon.

I have met both Rachael and Norris, as the came into Fenwick Tunbridge Wells to launch their brand and to educate us on their products. They both clearly have so much passion for their products and really do believe in them. We are the very first store to have Ogario, but you can now find them in a lot of Planet Organic stores and Wholefoods in London. They also sell online but want to keep their niche reputation. Even though it is a small company, they have won loads of awards and have been mentioned in the infamous Beauty Bible. This has really worked in Ogario's favour, as the products have flown off the shelves in Fenwicks, and customers interest in the brand continues to grow.

They wanted their products to be natural and have long term benefits for the hair, and so have made three ranges: Hydrate and Shine, Revive and Shine, and Restore and Shine. Apart from the Restore Range which consists of their only mask, the other two ranges have a shampoo and conditioner in both large and travel sizes.

The Revive and Shine range is better for people with thinner hair, and it aims to boost the hair and add shine. The shampoo smells so delicious, a bit like sweets!

As I have very thick hair that is prone to dryness and damage, I have been using the Hydrate and Shine range, along with the Restore mask. The hydrate range is great for people with dry, damaged hair, or for colour treated hair.

Starting with the shampoo, this foams up really nicely and washes the hair beautifully. It has Moringa in it which is a hydrating ingredient that can be found in things such as the Emma Hardie Cleanser. You don't need much of the product at all, and the honey gives it it's silky caramel constistency. It has a very natural scent, with a hint of spice to it which is really energising.

The conditioner is really really thick and has genuinely transformed the condition of my hair. Since using this, my hair has been so much more managable, and my ends haven't been as tangled and knotted. This has Marshmallow in which instantly makes it sounds delicious, but it is actually a herb that has super hydrating properties. Again the scent of this is fairly spicy but it has a real sweetness to it aswell.

Finally, the award winning Restore and Shine mask. I've just recently had my hair cut so want to keep the ends hydrated to the max with this product! This is the product that really got Ogario noticed, and it can be found in the natural beauty bible. This is to be applied to partially dry hair, so towel dry your hair after shampooing. I apply this to the lengths of my hair and leave it on for about 10 minutes. It smells like Lemon sherbert and is so zesty and fresh! It leaves my hair feeling really boosted and soft.

I highly recommend trying this brand as they use all natural ingredients and it has really improved the condition of my hair as well as lasting me ages! The price points are really reasonable and the little travel sizes and jet sets would make perfect gifts for someone! Find out more about the brand using he link below.

November Birchbox

I thought long and hard about posting this as it's a very old Birchbox now, and I will warn you some of the reviews are not very reliable, but I felt very strongly about a few of these products so I thought I should post it anyway!

Dr Jart V7 Cleansing Foam

This foaming cleanser smells really orange-y and zesty. It's brightening, antioxidant cream foams once it's rubbed between wet hands. It feels really lovely on the skin until it comes to washing it off. It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean, and I am talking literally. You know when your skin feels stripped of all oil and theres that dry squeakiness afterwards? That's how it makes my skin feel, and it becomes difficult to remove all of the foam due to it. It doesn't actually leave me skin feeling tight afterwards, but I prefer creamier cleanser I have used in the past for my drier skin. I personally wouldn't use this again, and even though it was a full sized product, I have only used it a couple of times.

English Laundry Perfume

So my first unreliable review is this one. If I'm honest, I lost this sample of perfume so I have no idea what it smells like. I'm never good at reviewing perfumes anyway though so your probably not missing out on a review here!

Beauty Protector Leave In Conditioner

I genuinely swore out loud the other day when this ran out. This has transformed the condition of my hair and really changed my view on leave in conditioners. I assumed leave in conditioners would leave my hair feeling greasy and weigh it down. As my hair is thick anyway, I hate the idea of adding any weight to it at all. The nice thing about this 'Beauty Protector' leave in conditioner is that it is a spray in so you can control the amount of product going in. I only spray it in the ends and comb it through and it makes it so much more manageable and less tangled. It smelt really nice and sweet and I really loved this product. I am definitely going to explore the usage of leave in conditioners from now on.

Lord & Berry Bronzer

My next rubbish review is this one. This bronzer was not my colour at all so I haven't used it so I can't really review it for you I'm afraid! I like the brand though from other stuff I've tried from it so I would explore the makeup further!

O.P.I Nail Colour

I love receiving a full size nail polish in a Birchbox, especially one from O.P.I. This Colour is called 'A Grape Affair' and is a deep purple colour. I have to admit that the colour looks slightly better in the bottle, and more purple. On the nail it looks basically black, and you can only see the purple tone on closer inspection. Saying that, I have had a lot of compliments on this nail colour, and think it is a nice one for the more wintery months.

Apologies for this half arsed attempt, but hopefully you enjoyed the products I did try!

Holiday Essentials 2014

So as you probably know by now, I just got back from a Summer holiday in Corfu, and I took along lots of cosmetics I haven't taken on holiday before, so I thought I would give you a little insight to my holiday routine!
(I realise now I write this, that photographing the products in the order of which they should be used would have been heaps easier but alas, we will have to make do!)

Skin

When on holiday a lot of things tend to go slack, such as eating well, trying not to drink every day of the week, exercising less and not doing the usual makeup routine. One thing I do not let slack though, is my skin care routine. I do NOT want to look like a shrivelled raisin at the age of 30, so I took along all my usual skin care basics, just slightly more tailor made to the sun.

  • Neal's Yard Facial Wipes - I don't usually use face wipes as they're packed with alcohol and dry the skin, but these Neal's Yard wipes are 100% natural and organic, and are made with rose water which is perfect for skin that's been in the sun. It is very soothing and sweeps away all traces of makeup, plus they're travel size friendly. Apologies for not having my own picture I threw away mine when it was finished!
  • Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Correcting Serum - Usually at home I use the S.O.S hydrating serum from Caudalie, but the Vinoperfect serum adds radiance to the skin, as well as evening out skin tone and helping you tan more evenly. I applied this under my moisturiser every day.
  • Caudalie Cleansing Milk - I used this little travel sized remover at the end of the day to remove all the grime from my face. I found it didn't remove my makeup very well with the Greek water (sounds ridiculous but it removes makeup fine at home!) but it was still nice to wash my face with, as it is lightweight and sweet smelling.
  • Caudalie VinoSource Moisturising Sorbet - I love the name of this product! This was the moisturiser I used for the day on top of the serum, so my skin felt hydrated for the imminent drying affects of the sun. This is so lightweight so went on lovely under my sun cream.
  • Caudalie Grape Water This fantastic little multi tasker is a great toner, skin soother, and general face cooler-downer. I had this next to me at night to spray over myself when the heat got to much.

Hair

I would never wash my hair everyday under usual circumstances, but on holiday it is a necessity! These are the products that kept my mane in tact.

  • Aveda Smooth Infusions Conditioner - (This is exactly why I should have pictured the products in the right order!) This Aveda conditioner is a perfect little burst of moisture for the hair after a day of scorching it. This was a perfect travel sized and went on perfectly after my
  • Aveda Sun Care Shampoo - I had never used a specific shampoo for sun and sea removal, but I am really glad I did. This made my hair feel normal again after a day of drying salt and chlorine. I would highly recommend a shampoo like this, especially if your a swimmer and need this kind of shampoo regularly.
  • Number 4 Comb Prep and Prepare- This is the hair product I got in my Birchbox which I recieved the other day. I won't say all the same things again, but this was really good at detangling my hair before I used my Tangle Teezer on it, and it has UV protection in it which meant my hair was prepped for the next day of sun exposure.
  • Aveda Smooth Infusion Perfectly Straight - I didn't use this product every night as I didn't want to waste it, but I have reviewed this product before which you can read here. This just took the edge off my naturally curly wavy hair so I could wear it down on some evenings without looking like a total nutter.

Makeup

Finally, my makeup routine is somewhat shortened, as it seems silly to cake on the foundation when its hot and sticky, and also not to take advantage of the sun tanning and clearing your complexion naturally anyway. I never wear makeup in the day on holiday, and I will only wear a minimal amount in the evening.

  • Ren Satin Perfection BB Cream -  I used this as a moisturiser and face base in the evening. I used this as it still has an SPF 15 for when the sun is still out in the early evening. This cleverly adapts to your natural colour so will look right throughout the whole holiday, and is like a lightweight version of foundation.
  • Eyeko Eyeliner Pen - I really love an eyeliner pen and will use this on its own in the evening for a easy to do makeup look. The pen means it easy to use and requires minimal effort.
  • Clinique High Impact Mascara - This travel size is perfect for the makeup bag and lengthens and coats each lash making them natural but not too much.
  • Cream Eyeshadows - If I really want to make a special effort, I will use some cream eyeshadows to make more of a statement with my eyes. The balmy consistency means they're easy to go on and don't take up much room in your luggage with brushes etc. Here, I used my 'Wild About Beauty' colour from my birch box as a base, and then added my 'Maybelline Colour Tattoo' on top for a pop of shimmer.

What are your Summer Holiday essentials?

Bleach London Rose Colour

Before I went to Glastonbury, I posted a picture of myself on Instagram with my attempted pink hair. Unfortunately it didn't go as pastel pink as I wanted but that shouldn't be the reason I don't review the product! Although it didn't work how I wanted, I'll explain why I don't think it did and how I will try and make it work in the future, as I am not going to give up on the pink hair quest!

So the product I used was the Bleach London rose hair colour which is a semi permanent dye.
As my hair is naturally blonde, it said I wouldn't need to bleach my hair, but I used the bleach London White toner beforehand to make sure my hair was as blonde as it could be. I have done a full review of the toner before so click the link below to read that.

Once the toner was washed out, I applied the colour to my hair in strands. It says to leave the colour on for 10 to 15 minutes. The actual formula is thick and creamy and is easy to apply. Because of it's creaminess, it feels quite moisturising on the hair.

After washing it out, this was the final result.

As you can see by my face I wasn't completely satisfied with my hair.
A favourite blogger of mine called melon lady recently did a video on this very product, and described her hair as more of a hue rather than a pastel, and I think mine came out similar.
(The link to her video is here) I am a bit disappointed it didn't come out as pastel as I wanted as I had dreamt of pink hair for about 3 years now and can only do it at certain times due to work, so I had to go to Glastonbury as a very faint pink tinged blonde, which actually didn't look very pink after this picture.

I think next time I try this product, I will have to leave the toner on for longer to get the really white blonde colour so the pink had a better base to stick too.

I would also leave the pink colour on for longer as my hair is really really thick and probably needs longer for the colour to penetrate my hair.

Have you ever tried going a pastel colour? And if so which brands did you try?

Aveda NEW naturally straight

Aveda's latest addition to the 'smooth infusion' range is their heat activated, 'naturally straight' product. The product is worked into damp, towel dried hair, and allows the hair to naturally straighten when heat is used. A lot of people may argue that heat will always straighten the hair if that's what you intend it to do, however my thick coarse hair will NOT blow dry straight easily at all. Pictured below is my hair tied up after washing. This is the natural state of my hair, and as you can see it is frizzy and unruly.

My lovely friend Janine at Aveda demonstrated the product to me, as I was sceptical at first. She dampened my hair, and worked the product through in sections. With a round brush and hair dryer, she achieved the straight hair look pictured below with only a couple of runs down my hair. The great thing about this product is that it also progressively straightens the hair, so the more you use it the more manageable your hair will become. The plant fibres lock your style into place, and the Cassava root helps it deal with humidity.

This, as a result of a blow dry is a huge achievement in my eyes, as it saves a lot of time, plus a lot of damage to my hair when being styled with heat. I usually find my hair feels quite static after being blow dried, but this left my hair feeling naturally smooth and hydrated- not frazzled, and the product itself is not sticky or heavy. It leaves the hair feeling smooth, soft and bouncy, not slicked down like some high street straightening products can do.

I have used the Aveda 'smooth infusion' shampoo and conditioner before which I was impressed with, but I think adding this to my routine would speed up the styling process I have to undergo with my frizzy hair even more. This retails at £21.50, but you only need the tiniest amount in the lengths of your hair, so it would last you a long time. I think it is a great investment!

Aveda Smooth Infusions Shampoo and Conditioner

I have tried quite a few natural haircare brands now, and have found they have been a bit hit and miss. I have still not been completely sure whether to completely convert to natural haircare due to the endless amounts of pros, or whether a few chemicals and perfumes will just have to slide when it comes to hair, after all, we cut it off and it grows back.

My main problem with some natural haircare, is that due to natural shampoos not containing foaming agents, I find I have a bit of trouble getting a proper hair wash. As my hair is so thick, I find they just sit on the hair and don't properly wash it.  I have however finally found a completely natural brand that gives my hair a good clean. Although the products Aveda make are natural, I find I get just enough lather, to give my hair a good wash.

The smooth infusions range from Aveda helps thick hair like mine reduce frizz, and smooths the hair down. The added bonus of the natural ingredients means the hair is not coated or weighed down, so the hair can be smoothed but still have a weightless feel to it. I shampoo my hair twice with these products. The first time to remove any dirt from the hair, and the second time to actually clean the hair. I find the second time is when I really feel the benefits, as it lathers more and really gets to work. By adding more water you create more lather, so you don't need to use much product meaning less wastage.

The smell of these two products are quite citrusy, which is really refreshing and uplifting. The conditioner is great at detangling, and again, doesn't coat the hair making it feel weighed down. After using these products I find my hair dries faster and is a lot more manageable, whilst still being weightless and easy to style. I have had these products a while now and still have loads left. If you want to try natural haircare, I would suggest starting at Aveda as their range of products is huge when it comes to hair types. They also do styling products for each range, which I really want to try. The small Shampoo is £17.00 and the conditioner £19.00. Or you can buy huge industrial sizes for £50.00 and £69.00 which are great value for money.

Have you tried Aveda before? If so what are your favourite products and why?
feel free to leave comments below :)

February Birchbox

I am now onto my second Birchbox and I am still loving all the goodies I have been getting! This one in particular scored well in my eyes, so I will get straight to it and tell you what I got!

Gilchrist and Soames Shower Gel

I have always thought Gilchrist & Soames was a very posh brand that you only ever see in expensive hotels, so I felt very posh indeed when I got my shower gel from them in my Birchbox. The smell is  really lovely, one I can't explain. Its a very luxurious shower gel.

Urban Veda Exfoliating Polish

I have received Urban Veda in a Glossy Box before. I got the purifying day cream pictured on the right, which is for more oily skin. At the time I had very dry skin, but recently my skin is been more oily, so getting the polish reminded me to give it a try. I really like both of these products. I thought the polish would smell more fruity, but it actually smells quite spa like. The polish is quite abrasive so you get a good old scrub. The day cream smells like tea tree and moisturises my face whilst mattifying the skin and balancing the oil. Urban Veda is an entirely natural brand which I love, and the products are really reasonably priced for natural products. The scrub is £8.99 and the day cream £8.99. I think I may explore into this brand a bit more!

Beauty Protector Hair Oil

I am a huge fan of hair oil, and this Beauty Protector oil is a lovely addition to my collection. It smells like vanilla, and it protects against heat and UV rays. It tames fly aways and prevents frizz. My only wish is that it came in a spray bottle rather than one you pour as it can get a little messy. It is a nice little product but I think I prefer some other hair oils I have tried in the past.

Leighton Denny Nail Polish

I was really happy to receive a full sized Leighton Denny polish usually priced at £11.00! I would preferred a brighter colour, but you can't go wrong with a classic black for your collection! This colour is called 'maneater' and it is a very deep black, it has no shimmer or metallic, its just a flat, black high gloss polish.

Eyeko Liquid Eyeliner Pen

This was the absolute god send of this box. I saw a Space NK store advertising Eyeko products with Alexa Chung as the face of it all and was instantly intrigued. The liquid eyeliner pen has been my recent most favourite product, and this Eyeko one really is the best one I have come across. The colour is really good and the the nib is perfect for precise cat flick eyes. It is waterproof so it can go on the lash line and goes on effortlessly over eye shadow. There is also a matching mascara that goes with the eye liner, so I think I will give that a go when I repurchase the eyeliner which I certainly will!

I also received a little Green and Blacks choccy which was a lovely little touch. I'm really into dark chocolate at the moment plus its better for you!

Philip Kingsley Haircare

I have just finished using this Philip Kingsley haircare, and here is how I got on with it.

Elasticizer

I have used the Elasticizer hair mask before which you can read a full review of here. I really liked this mask when I used it, it made my hair feel soft and a lot more manageable. It is a pre shampoo treatment.

Shampoo

A lot of natural shampoos do not contain an ingredient that is designed to make a shampoo foam. I am not 100% sure is this Philip Kingsley shampoo is even considered natural, but I can tell you that it did not foam up. At all. Not even lather slightly. Now since using this shampoo I have started using an Aveda Shampoo which is considered 100% natural, and this foams up more than this Philip Kingsley Shampoo. I was recommended the 'Moisture Balancing' range from a Philip Kingsley representative.
I am not going to slate a product, because what doesn't work for me, may work fantastically for someone else, but this Shampoo did not clean my hair AT ALL. After I had washed it, it still felt greasy. My skin has recently changed and become more oily, and I thought that my hair was getting greasier because of that, but since changing my shampoo, I could tell from the first wash that the Philip Kingsley was just not washing my hair properly. As the product didn't foam up, I think it got lost in my hair instantly, and as my hair is thick, it just didn't sufficiently clean it. I tried using more water, more product, but nothing happened. Very disappointing.

Conditioner

The conditioner was slightly better, I used it only on the ends of my hair and it moistures the ends to the standard I would want. I wouldn't say it was the best, but it does it's job as a conditioner. There was no particular smell or anything else that would draw me to it to make me buy it again, it was just a basic conditioner.

Daily Damage Defence

The daily damage defence is hard to review as it is a heat protector, and I can't really tell you if my hair was well protected or not. All I will say is that my hair has not seemed dry or burnt at all, and the little spray lasted me about 2 months.

Not a sparkling review I will admit, but I think it is important not to view everything with rose tinted glasses. I do look for positives in products, but I was actually quite relieved actually when I stopped using these. Philip Kingsley has been around for such a long time it feels almost wrong to not like the products, but perhaps if I used a different range from the collection I would get on better, but after this experience, I am not really interested in trying the Shampoos and Conditioners from Philip Kingsley. I would rather stick to there styling products and treatments.

Organix Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner

I was drawn to Organix, because they're a cheap alternative to natural brands on the market. When low on cash, I went to the Organix section in Boots and had great fun sniffing all the Shampoos and Conditioners. Every range has the most amazing smell, but being a sucker for coconut, I finally settled on these two.

The nourishing coconut seemed the best option for my occasionally dry hair. When I started to use it, I noticed the Shampoo slightly foamed which shouldn't happen in a natural product. When I checked the bottle, I saw there was a foaming agent in the shampoo, which is not natural so I was a bit disappointed as I felt slightly mis-led. Luckily I'm not an uber hippy who would feel violated if I had such a thing on my head, but still, slightly false advertising. Anyway, the actual experience was nice, and for a while after my hair smelt lovely and coco-nutty even days after I washed it. The whipped egg whites add protein to the hair, but after a few weeks of using it, I swear I started to smell the eggy aroma on my head. I don't know whether it is because I got too used to the coconut smell. The actual condition of my hair was good, but now I have finished using these products and moved on to something else, I am preferring the new stuff. Not a huge success, but for a cheap product you can't complain. Both Shampoo and Conditioner were £5 and they left my hair in good condition. I want to try some of the other ranges within the brand so I won't write it off yet! Take a look here to see their other ranges

July Glossy Box

The June Glossy Box has been my favourite one by far! The whole theme and idea for the box was really cool, and I have loved every product inside! I absolutely loved the box design when I saw it, as its very different from the usual pale pink. I always want to keep the boxes but never have any use for them but this one is going to become a box for my boyfriends fish food. Perfect!

So what what inside?

Anatomicals Facial Spritz
I really love a facial spritz that you can spray onto your face on a hot day. They help to set makeup and have a really cooling effect. I really liked this one as it was plastic so I could put into my handbag. It has calming lavender and uplifting peppermint to refresh you. The only problem I had with it was that the pump is quite concentrates so you need to do it a good arms length away or its quite a strong spritz!

Ciate Nail Polish

Ciate is probably my new favourite nail brand. When I opened my box and saw I had received a full sized polish worth £9.00, I literally screamed with happiness, especially as it is this amazing orange colour called 'Speed Dial'. I absolutely love this polish and have used it a few times recently which is rare for me to stick with one colour for a while! The Ciate 'wow kits' are my new favourite thing so keep your eyes peeled for more posts on them.

Alterna Texture Mist

I researched this brand to find out what makes the product give you beautiful tousled hair. When I went on the website, I was shocked to see that Katie Holmes is the face of the brand, and it has a huge range of hair care which are quite high end. A 125ml is £23.00 but worth the money, as it contains no parabens and sulphates which are bad news for hair. Unlike sea salt sprays, which dry out the hair as they strip away the natural oils, this spray uses bamboo which boosts hair flexibility and is actually good for the health, so you get amazing beach look hair and your helping the quality of your hair. It would be like if chocolate was good you.

I suggest taking a look at the website to wet your appetite

Coola Sunscreen

Coola suncream is organic which, if you know me by now, then you'll know that is a big thumbs up for me as I love my natural products! So how does it protect you? It uses minerals and plants to protect from UVA and UVB rays. This sunscreen smells of cucumber and is very refreshing on the face. It is also anti ageing and full of anti-oxidants, so again, is helping you whilst its on.

Pout Paint

These little lip colours are pretty strange but quite qwerky! They are pretty much paint, as the colour is so intense and thick! They are very hydrating whilst on and the colour last ages! The cool thing about these, is that you can mix them up like you would regular paint. The blue pigment is not to be worn alone (unless you like the smurf look), but to mix in bit by bit to create new colours. I mixed these two colours and got a really sensual deep berry colour perfect for winter. I love how versatile they are and how you can never have the same colour twice. Great for all year round.
